CHALON SUR SAONE

Chalon-sur-Saône, in southern Burgundy, is a charming riverside town at the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise wine-growing region. Chalon, a Town of Art and History, offers a wide range of sites to visit, recounting both ancient and contemporary history.

For a bit of culture and fresh air, follow the Chemin de l'Orbandale, a walking trail that takes in around thirty points of architectural and historical interest in the town centre.

Continue with a visit to the famous Nicéphore Niépce Museum (inventor of photography and the first photographer in history), with its unique collection exploring the origins of the photographic image.

ROUTE DES GRANDS CRUS

Embark on a day of exploration along the Route des Grands Crus, a legendary route through some of the world's most prestigious vineyards. Along the way, immerse yourself in the fascinating world of blackcurrants at the Cassissium and enjoy a gourmet stopover with family and friends.

BEAUNE

Then it's on to Beaune, the true capital of Burgundy wines. Stroll through its historic centre and visit the famous Hospices de Beaune, an architectural masterpiece and emblem of the region's heritage. 

Explore this remarkable site, the Notre-Dame de Beaune Basilica (listed as a Historic Monument), a must-see building when visiting Beaune: situated on the Place du Général Leclerc, it is a monument whose history dates back to the 12th century, a jewel of Gothic and Romanesque architecture.

DIJON

Head for Dijon, historic capital of the Duchy of Burgundy, with a visit to the Cité gastronomique et du Vin, a venue dedicated to the region's culinary and oenological expertise. Continue with a visit to the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy, home to the Musée des Beaux Arts, one of the richest in France.

Take the owl trail, a fun way to discover the hidden treasures of the city centre, then stop off at the Fallot mustard shop if you're a mustard lover. It's a unique experience!
